What does weed actually cost right now? These are median prices computed from public dispensary menus across 23 US cities, from the Ganja.com Cannabis Price Index, refreshed monthly. Free to cite with attribution.

Key findings

• Cheapest eighths: Albuquerque, NM ($15), Oklahoma City, OK ($15), Ann Arbor, MI ($18).
• Most expensive: Chicago, IL ($45), New York, NY ($44), Oakland, CA ($40).
• The spread: the same eighth costs $30 more in Chicago than in Albuquerque, a 200% difference driven by taxes, license counts and market maturity.

Prices are medians of listed menu prices per category and size across sampled dispensaries in each city, collected from public menus and refreshed monthly. Sample sizes are shown per city. The full dataset is downloadable as JSON and CSV under CC-BY-4.0.
